Founded on a long tradition of operator algebras in Copenhagen, the Non-Commutative Geometry group aspires to be one of the world's best. Lead by Ryszard Nest the group's permanent staff comprises

and presently 3 postdocs and 8 PhD students. Through our participation in the Center of Symmetry and Deformation with our colleagues in the university's Topology group, and various grants of which Haagerup's European Research Chair is the most prominent, we have ample resources to support our aspirations by frequent events such as master classes, conferences, workshops as well as our weekly seminar.

To get money you have been granted by the network (see Support for information about how to apply for money) you have to do the following:

Fill in the standard travel subsistence claim form (pdf-version, word document). You just have to fill in “Surname and forename”, “Home address”, “Position”, “Agency/Institution”, “Dept./Divisjon”, “National identity” (with your date of birth), “Claim in connection with” (you should choice “Other” and add “Research visit”), “Destination and purpose of journey”, “Departure” and “Return” dates and then sign on page 1, and then on page 2 list the relevant expenses (see an example of how this is done).
Fill in the form about your bank data (pdf-version, word document).
Send the two forms together with your tickets and receipts etc. to

Welcome to the home page of the research network Operator Algebra and Dynamics.

Operator Algebra and Dynamics is a research network consisting of 8 Nordic research groups. The purpose of the network is to promote mobility and cooperation between operator algebraist in the Nordic countries working on the interplay between operator algebra and dynamics. The network is supported by a grant running from 1 August 2009 to 31 July 2012 from NordForsk. Most of the funding is earmarked for supporting research visit between the participating groups, especially for young people. The network will also arrange workshops, seminars, summer schools and similar events.

Our program supports visits from researchers at one of the network nodes to another network node, for participation in relevant events or for research projects in groups. Researchers at any level may be supported, but PhD students are particularly welcome to apply.

If you wish to apply for support, please contact the group leader at your own institution or at the institution your wish to visit (see list below) before you travel. Retroactive reimbursement is not possible.

We can cover ground or air travel (economy), hotel and a per diem not exceeding 250 NOK per day.
